We'll grab you near Roma Street Station in the CBD, then South Brisbane Station. Your exact spot and time land in your booking confirmation. Just rock up with a coffee and leave the rest to us.
First stop and it's a cracker. The Glass House Mountains are jagged volcanic plugs, the hardened guts of volcanoes that blew around 26 million years ago, left standing after everything softer wore away. Captain Cook named them back in 1770, reckoning they looked like the glass furnaces of his native Yorkshire. But long before that and still today, they're deeply significant to the Jinibara and Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) peoples, the Traditional Custodians. In their creation stories the peaks are a family, with Beerwah the mother, Tibrogargan the father and Coonowrin the eldest son. We pull in at the lookout to stretch the legs, take in the view and share a bit of the story before we point it for the coast.
The original and best artisan market in the country, tucked under the big figs in little Eumundi. Hundreds of stalls: makers, growers, good tucker and even better coffee. Have a wander, grab some morning tea and a treat, then we'll load up and cruise on to Noosa.
Our first big stop and it's yours to play with. Three ways to go: grab a board and some gear and paddle out or snorkel at world-famous Main Beach; take the cruisy coast walk through Noosa National Park to a string of hidden little beaches; or post up on Hastings Street for a long lunch and a cold one. Do one, do the lot. This is the longest stop of the day for a reason.
Surfboards & beach gear included
A cruisy arvo stop in one of the Sunny Coast's most laid-back beach towns. Wander the Coolum esplanade past the cafés and shops, take the boardwalk out to the Point Perry lookout for massive ocean views (and whales, if they're about), or just get your toes in the sand.
We finish where the Sunny Coast does its best work. Grab the gear for one last dip, or take the easy walk along the front between Alex Heads and Mooloolaba. We'll drop you one end and grab you the other. Pull up a chair at one of the iconic surf clubs, watch the boardriders do their thing and soak up a bit of proper surf-club culture before we head home.
We aim to roll back into Brisbane around 5.30pm and drop you right where we grabbed you. No parking, no driving, nothing to sort out, just a cracking day on the coast behind you.

First stop, deep in the cool of the Springbrook hinterland. An easy rainforest walk takes you to Natural Bridge, a rock archway where a waterfall pours straight down through the roof of the cave below. It's a genuinely special bit of ancient rainforest and a cruisy way to kick off the day.
Right down the bottom of the Goldie, where Queensland meets New South Wales. Soak up the view from the Point Danger lookout, watch the crew surf Snapper Rocks, one of the best point breaks in the country, and enjoy a classic, uncrowded stretch of sand at an easy pace.
This is the good bit and it's yours to shape. Grab a board and some gear and paddle out at one of Queensland's best beaches, take the headland track out over the point and back, or just post up on the buzzing Burleigh café strip with a feed and a cold one. Do one, do all three, you've got the time.

Made for the coast we grew up on.
Out of Brisbane started with a simple frustration: the best days on the coast were being rushed.
The best of Brisbane isn't Brisbane.
Brisbane is often treated as the middle child of Australian cities: no flashy harbour like Sydney, no laneway mythology like Melbourne, so it gets overlooked. But that reputation misses the point, because to really appreciate Brisbane you have to step outside the city limits.
What the city offers is genuinely great: the river, the cafes, a nightlife that holds its own and a scattering of microbreweries you could lose a weekend to. Ask a local what actually makes this place special though, and the conversation always drifts somewhere else, to the wildlife, the landscapes and the beaches sitting right on our doorstep.
We're boxed in by two of the country's great mountain ranges, the Scenic Rim and the Glass House Mountains, with a hinterland full of wildlife between them and world-class coastline beyond. It's all within a morning's drive, and most visitors never see it. That's why Out of Brisbane exists: to show people that the best of being a Brisbanite often has very little to do with Brisbane itself.
Locals, not a roster.
You'll be shown around by someone who grew up on these coasts, not a rotating roster of contractors working off a script. Someone who has surfed these breaks, knows which bakery is worth stopping for and can read a day well enough to change the plan when the swell or the light calls for it.
Because groups stay small, your host has time for you: the offhand recommendation, the quieter lookout, the local's version of the day rather than the brochure's. It's the difference between being driven around the coast and being shown it by a mate who happens to know it better than most.

Everything you need before you book.
As soon as you book you'll get a confirmation with your pickup point and time. Closer to the day we'll send a detailed itinerary email: where we're stopping and our local picks at each one, from the best beaches and walks to where to grab a coffee or lunch. It's the stuff most visitors miss. You just show up and we'll handle the rest.
We pick up in the early morning near Roma Street Train Station in the CBD, then South Brisbane Train Station. Your exact meeting point and time are confirmed in your booking email.
Both are full day tours. We leave Brisbane around sunrise and have you back in the late afternoon, around 5.30pm. You'll have the whole day on the coast without ever touching the wheel.
Return transport from Brisbane, your local host and driver for the day and surfboards and beach gear to use at the coast. Adults are $120, children (under 16) $99, or $399 for a family group of four (all incl. GST). Food and drinks at our stops are at your own cost.
We keep it a genuine small-group experience, a van, not a coach, which is what keeps the day relaxed and flexible.
Togs and a towel, sunscreen, a hat and comfortable shoes for the walks. We've got the boards and beach gear covered. Bring a card for lunch and coffee.
Not at all. The boards are there if you want them. Plenty of guests just swim, walk the headland, or find a good spot in the sand. It's your day.
Tours run rain or shine. The coast is beautiful either way and the rainforest is especially good in the wet. If we ever need to cancel for safety, you'll be offered another date, a credit or a full refund.
Plans change. Cancel or reschedule 7 or more days out and you'll get a full credit valid for 12 months, or a free date change. Inside 48 hours, or a no-show, the booking can't be credited. We're a small group and can't re-sell the seats that late. Full terms are shown at checkout.

Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every booking made with Henry Baker trading as Out of Brisbane ("Out of Brisbane", "we", "us"). By booking a tour, the person making the booking ("you") agrees to these terms on behalf of everyone in your party.
Bookings and payment
Bookings are made through our booking system and paid in full at the time of booking by secure card payment. A booking is only confirmed once payment is received and you receive a confirmation email. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST: $120 per adult, $99 per child (under 16), $399 for a family group of four.
What is included
Included: return transport from Brisbane, your local host and driver for the day, and use of surfboards and beach gear at the coast. Not included: food and drinks, personal spending money, travel insurance, and anything not expressly listed as included.
Cancellations and changes by you
Cancel or reschedule 7 or more days before departure and you receive a full credit valid for 12 months, or a free date change. Between 48 hours and 7 days before departure, a full credit or one free reschedule. Less than 48 hours before departure, or a no-show, the booking is non-refundable and non-creditable, as we cannot re-sell the seats at short notice. Credits are held against your name, are not redeemable for cash, and can be used toward any Out of Brisbane tour.
Cancellations and changes by us
Tours run in most weather. If we must cancel or materially change a tour for safety, weather, or if a minimum of 4 guests is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date, a full credit, or a full refund. We may adjust the route, stops or timings on the day for safety, weather or operational reasons.
Pickup and punctuality
Pickups are in central Brisbane. Your exact meeting point and time are confirmed in your booking email. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. We operate to a schedule and cannot delay departure or return for late guests. Missing pickup is treated as a no-show.
Your responsibilities and assumption of risk
Our tours involve activities that carry inherent risks, including swimming, surfing and using beach equipment in the ocean, walking on rocks, headlands, beaches and rainforest tracks, and general travel. You take part in all activities voluntarily and at your own risk, and you must follow the reasonable directions of your host. Surfboards and beach gear are provided for optional use; entering the water and using equipment is your choice and your responsibility. We are not a surf school and do not provide in-water supervision. You must disclose any medical condition that may affect your safe participation before the tour.
Children
Children are welcome but remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent or guardian at all times, including in and around water.
Conduct
We may refuse participation to, or remove from a tour, any guest whose conduct is unsafe, unlawful, or unreasonably affects other guests, without refund. Alcohol and illegal substances brought on tour are not permitted.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of re-supply, and we are not liable for loss or injury arising from risks inherent in the activities, from your own acts or omissions, or from events beyond our reasonable control. We recommend you hold personal travel or ambulance insurance.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Website content is provided in good faith and may change without notice.

This policy explains how Henry Baker trading as Out of Brisbane handles your personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Booking and contact details: name, email, phone, party size and tour date. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details. We also collect communications you send us and basic website analytics.
How we use it
To take and manage your booking, communicate with you about your tour, send your confirmation and itinerary email, process payment, and meet safety and legal obligations. We send marketing only where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Our booking platform and payment processor, solely to deliver your booking, plus service providers such as email and analytics tools under confidentiality, and authorities where required by law. Some providers may store data on servers outside Australia.
Storage, access and correction
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. You can ask to access or correct the information we hold by emailing Hello@outofbrisbane.com.au.
